Bendigo is one of the last cities in Australia where vintage trams still run on city streets, and the Vintage Talking Tram turns that heritage into a narrated journey through time. Restored trams from the early 20th century loop through Bendigo's grand civic streetscapes, with an audio commentary that connects the sights rolling past to the city's gold rush past.

The hop-on, hop-off format lets visitors build their own day around five stops: Central Deborah Gold Mine, Alexandra Fountain, the Tramways Depot, Lake Weeroona, and the Joss House Temple. A single day ticket covers unlimited travel, making it an easy and economical way to cover the spread of Bendigo's attractions without a car.

The trams themselves are part of the attraction. Lovingly maintained vehicles dating from the early decades of the last century carry passengers along tracks that have been in continuous use since the 1890s, giving the whole experience a texture that newer heritage railways rarely match.

Tickets can be purchased on board, at Central Deborah Gold Mine, or at the Bendigo Visitor Centre. Group bookings of 10 or more require advance reservations by phone.
