Bredl's Wildlife is a family-run farm and wildlife encounter based on a 175-acre property at Bloomsbury, about an hour's drive from both Airlie Beach and Mackay. Run by the Bredl family, who have worked in wildlife conservation and reptile expertise for decades, the farm offers small-group guided tours where visitors can hold snakes and lizards, cuddle koalas, hand-feed crocodiles, and interact with kangaroos, emus, and cassowaries.

Tours run on a fully guided, structured basis starting mid-morning and finishing in the early afternoon, covering the property by safari truck through native Australian bushland alongside a picturesque dam. The intimate group size and hands-on format set it apart from larger zoo experiences, the emphasis is on close, personal encounters with a wide range of native and exotic species under the guidance of knowledgeable staff.

Animals at the farm include crocodiles, koalas, wombats, kangaroos, cassowaries, emus, deer, bearded dragons, turtles, snakes, and lizards. Crocodile hand-feeding demonstrations are a highlight, and opportunities to handle reptiles directly are available throughout the tour.

Bookings are essential and the farm does not accept walk-in visitors. Tours run on most days of the week. To book, contact the farm directly by phone or email.
