Perched at Cow Bay in the heart of the Daintree, this award-winning interpretive centre takes visitors deep into the world's oldest tropical rainforest. A 23-metre canopy tower and aerial walkway put you eye-level with the treetops, while audio guides in eight languages bring the ecology to life. It is the definitive starting point for understanding this UNESCO World Heritage landscape.

The centrepiece is a free-standing canopy tower that rises above the rainforest floor, giving unobstructed views across the layered canopy and, on clear mornings, out to the Coral Sea. Five themed interpretive zones on the ground cover reptiles, insects, birds and the geological forces that shaped the Wet Tropics.

A detailed guidebook is included with every entry ticket, and the audio commentary, available in eight languages, means the experience is accessible to international visitors travelling without a guide.

The centre operates a strict low-impact philosophy and holds EarthCheck certification. Guided night walks can also be booked separately for those wanting to spot tree kangaroos and frogs after dark.
