Granite Belt Brewery
Craft beer in the cool highlands
schedule 1 min read / Updated Jun 2026
Granite Belt Brewery has been crafting full-flavoured beers and ciders since 2012, set on 30 acres of natural bushland just five minutes from Stanthorpe's town centre. The estate combines a working 1,000-litre micro-brewery with a bar, restaurant, and cedar cabins, making it a self-contained food, drink, and stay destination. Tasting paddles, a full restaurant menu, and the cool highland air make this a firm favourite with visitors to the Granite Belt.
The brewery's philosophy is straightforward: quality malts, hops, and yeast, used honestly to create beers that are refreshing and built for enjoyment. The tap list rotates through house brews including pale ales, stouts, IPAs, lagers, and fruit ciders, alongside guest taps from other independent Australian breweries. Tasting paddles come in two sizes: four by 85 ml for $15, or four by 200 ml for $22, and the knowledgeable bar staff are happy to guide you through the range.
The restaurant serves lunch and dinner on weekends and public holidays, with a lighter snack menu available Tuesday through Thursday. The kitchen focuses on honest, hearty food that complements the beers, with wood-fired dishes, charcuterie, and locally sourced produce from the Granite Belt's renowned growers and providores. The bar and dining room look out over the bush property, and the deck is a magnificent spot on a clear afternoon with a paddle in hand.
For those wanting to extend the experience, the cedar cabins dotted through the bushland property offer self-contained accommodation that is relaxed and unpretentious. The brewery is also available for private events and functions. Whether you are stopping in for a quick tasting or settling in for the afternoon, Granite Belt Brewery captures exactly the unhurried spirit of a Granite Belt getaway.
