Little Creatures Brewery
Craft beer on the harbour
schedule 1 min read / Updated Jun 2026
Established in 2000 in a converted shed on Fishing Boat Harbour, Little Creatures Brewery is one of Australia's most celebrated craft beer destinations. The cavernous heritage sheds at 40 Mews Road offer working brewing tanks, harbour views, and a menu that ranges from wood-fired pizza to Asian-inspired dishes, all paired with the ales and lagers that put Australian craft beer on the map.
The Fremantle site operates as the spiritual home of the Little Creatures brand, and brewery tours run on most days giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at the brewing process from grain to glass. Three distinct hospitality spaces cater to different moods: the main hall centred around the gleaming fermentation tanks; a deck bar on a boardwalk directly above the water for casual dining; and an upstairs loft offering elevated cuisine and panoramic sunset views.
Little Creatures Pale Ale, Rogers beer, and a rotating seasonal lineup are poured alongside wines and non-alcoholic options. The venue is family-friendly during daytime hours and shifts to a livelier atmosphere as the evening progresses.
The brewery is open seven days from late morning until late and requires no booking for general entry, though reservations are recommended for dining upstairs.
